Relief printing is the art of carving an image onto a flat surface (such as linoleum or a wood block), then inking and pressing the image onto a surface (like paper or a t-shirt). This allows me to make multiples of a single relief.

Simply put, I’m carving large stamps and making prints with them.

What is relief printing?

Do you do commissions?

Not at this time. I’m always happy to take suggestions, but largely what I enjoy about the art I make is not being tied down by the expectations and pressures of commissions.

My print I bought came out lighter/darker than I thought. Is there an issue?

Not at all! What makes printmaking unique is its ability to make “original copies” of itself. Because of their hand-pressed process, spots will not always fully transfer. This is all part of the art of printmaking, and it is not a defective print. Each print sold is inspected for completeness. Incompleted prints will not be sold.

Where can I send my suggestions?

Click here! I’m always writing down suggestions and comments from people, patrons, and supporters. It’s how I grow as an artist and see what people like/don’t like. Leave me a note, and I’ll be sure to check it out.
